3Am kid on the right is mildly attractive, isn't he? ㄲㄲㄲ
I also got a kick out of another Pinoy-pop 8-membered group called XLR8. Their song "You're so Hot" is a lot like "Sorry Sorry." I say legal action can and should be made against the agency for this aberration! I gatchyo back SuJu ;]
More after the jump.
Actually, their whole style is pretty much ripped off but I half-expected that. Everything from the choreography, clothing, and concept mimicks K-pop. It's not entirely wrong -- pop is pop. It only makes sense for record companies to try to cash in on the fact that many Filipino kids love K-pop. However, P-pop should have some defining features of its own, distinctions that can easily be made. Oh, my countrymen ::shakes head::
At least some of the boys appear to be very good-looking *ㅅ* MJ, whose twin MM is also part of the group, has caught my eye as he is kinda Korean-looking. And Aki too who is half Japanese! What a cutie~
No doubt the boys are hardworkers and are very talented, but until their manager gives them their own style, XLR8 will be competing in the K-pop market. And as we all know, that market is absolutely saturated with boy and girl groups that, inarguably, are better at K-pop than Filipino groups. So, Viva Records, please give XLR8 a chance to make their mark as a unique P-pop group! And CC the message to Wonder Girls spinoff the Pop Girls.
